Solid phase sandwich ELISA for the determination of human Endothelial Lipase (EL) Full-Length in serum, EDTA-plasma and cell culture supernatant. For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedures.

Endothelial Lipase (EL) is a metabolic enzyme of HDL. It is phospholipase A1 molecule that is high substrate specificity against to phospholipid that exists in high density lipoprotein, HDL molecule and it promotes HDL metabolism through metabolizing HDL phospholipid. It has been reported that both full length EL (active form) and cleaved EL (inactive forms, 40K fragment cleaved at N terminal and 28K fragment cleaved at C terminal cleaved by proprotein convertase) exist in blood. This ELISA kit is designed by using two antibodies that detects N-terminal fragment and C terminal fragment so that it can detect full length EL in serum and EDTA-plasma with or without administration of heparin injection that is conventionally required for the measurement.
