Raft is rich in sphingo-gliycolipids and cholesterol, it is advocated as a membrane domain which participates in protein sorting, and it is known that many signal transduction molecules are gathering there. It is difficult to distinguish catch and identify Raft protein, unlike Cabeole which is the another micro domain of membrane, because the protein moves continuously on a cell membrane, and because the size and the structure of the protein are labile. For this reason, the marker specific to Raft was required in order to identify. Flotillin is the composition ingredient of Raft and the possibility as a marker of Raft is suggested.
